Main Window

Each active user has a check-in box (a rectangular graphical region), identified by his/her first name, displayed in the main window.

Figure 4.1 Main Window: A Typical Working Day

A green check-in box indicates that the user has checked in, while red indicates that the user has checked out, on the current day. Light-green colored horizontal bars in a check-in box represent periods when the user is working, with the number of hours displayed on the right.

The graphical interface is for real-time display purposes only. The check-in/out data is saved to the database when the operations are performed. Therefore, the application can be safely stopped at any time, without losing data, and restarted when a check-in/out operation is required.
